In Japanese, yossha よっしゃ means "ALRIGHT!!!" It's like the word yoshi よし, except that yossha is pretty much always used to shout and enthusiastically cheer while yoshi has other uses.

Example of よっしゃ used in manga.
(Chapter 589)

Usage

The word yossha よっしゃ is pretty much only used in two ways:
  1. To say "alright! Let's go!" Before going to do something.
  2. To say "AWWWWWwwwwww YEEEEEAAHAHhhhhhh!!!1113" when something good happens.

In particular, you'll see number 2 when someone wins a bet, gets lucky, when their team scores, etc.
  • yossha ore mo yaru!
    Alright I'll do it too!
    • Enthusiastic to start an activity.
  • yossha katta zo!
    Alright I won!
    • Enthusiastic because of success.

(Chapter 589)

  • yossha ikuzo!!!
    Alright [I'll] go!!!
  • kaizokuou ni
    ore wa naru!!!!

    King of pirates
    I'll become!!!

By the way, one word that's sometimes used in the same way as yossha but the meaning is completely different is yatta, the past form of yaru やる, "to do:"
  • yatta!!!
    I DID IT!!!

Variants

Since yossha is often used by characters shouting, screaming from the top of their lungs, it's usual for the spelling to be distorted in order to match the erratic pronunciation. Some variants of yossha include:
  • yosshaa!!!
  • yoosshaa!!!
  • yoshaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
  • ossha!
  • ssha!

The last two are because the o is cut short, of course.

    Means "volleyball."

Sometimes it's longer, however.
